How did we get our start? Floto was established in 2003 after Joe Floto brought back a leather travel bag from Italy and noticed that everywhere he went with it people asked - "where did you get that bag"?

What makes our products unique? We specialize in Italian hand stained leather, which is metal-free, sustainable, and not harmful to people. This centuries-old Tuscan tanning tradition produces colorful leather that is easy to craft and gets better with age.

Why do we love what we do? Creating new styles out of supple full-grain leather brings us to the workshop every day with a smile.

Classic Collection: Made with semi-gloss finish full grain calfskin leather. Classic bags soften, patina and can take a beating.

Roma Collection: Made with oil finished full grain calfskin leather that has been used to make travel bags in Italy for centuries.

Floto Collection: Made with semi-gloss finish full grain calfskin leather that is supple, easy to polish, and softens over time with a perfect patina.

Parma Collection: Made with full grain leather that has been lightly tanned with chestnut extracts for a natural look that darkens over time.

Super Tuscan: Super Tuscan is our leather lined travel bag made with full grain hand stained leather inside and out.

Matching Wallets: We make classic style wallets in the same leather as our travel bags.

Floto leather bags are handcrafted in Italy. Our mission is to refine old-world craft methods to make superior, high-quality leather goods.

The typical day at the Floto factory consists of a Floto leather bag passing through an average of 28 different workbenches at our factory in Florence, Italy: cutting, skiving, gluing, sanding, painting, internal assembly, hand stitching, riveting, etc.
